The Costa de la Luz is growing tremendously in popularity and is one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations and the area remains popular with many Spanish tourists visiting from all over Spain.

The Costa de la Luz is situated on Spain’s most south westerly tip between Portugal’s Algarve and Spain’s Costa del Sol. The area is ideal for combining relaxation at the many unspoilt beaches, sightseeing in the wonderful Andalucian cities of Cadiz, Seville and Jerez and exploring the many areas of outstanding natural beauty including the Alcornocales Natural Park and the Donana National Park.

If you are looking for more of an activity based holiday there are a number of top quality golf courses and the area is popular for cycling, walking, horse riding, bird watching, surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. Many visitors choose to follow the route of the white hill towns (Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos) or the route of the bull (Ruta del Toro) by car, caravan, motorbike or bicycle.

If you are well organised or simply lucky with your travel times you may well have the opportunity to experience one of the many ferias and fiestas that take place each year. Andalucia is the birthplace of flamenco and there are numerous opportunities for spectating this and bull fighting – Spain’s most popular and passionate pastimes.
